IS YOUR COMPANY THE ONE WHERE YOUR CHILDREN WOULD ALSO LIKE TO WORK?
We are a European lab for legacy, contributing to conscious and long-term personal legacy architecture for the good of others. Let's create a norm of European leaders together. Write to us if you are interested in
our 4-pillar Legacy Leadership Program.
As a leader, you have a unique potential to contribute to the lives of others. It's up to you what you make of it. Think about your legacy now, wherever you are on your journey, not just before the end.
We face turbulent times and global challenges and need a new mindset to cope with them.
That’s especially true for leadership. We need leaders:
- who see beyond their agenda and look at the good of others
- who have a long-term vision even for the next generation or embracing decades
- who understand their responsibility and take action striving for long-term, structural changes. All of those are based on personal solid integrity and rock-solid values.
Simply put leaders who turn their emotional, intellectual, and financial capabilities into action to shape strategically what they leave behind for the next generations.
OUR GOAL AT BRIDGE LEGACY LAB IS TO SUPPORT THE SPREAD OF THIS LEADERSHIP MINDSET AND CREATE THE NEW NORM FOR LEADERSHIP.
SET THE NORM
We map and showcase Legacy Leaders across Europe to introduce role models and inspiring stories from leaders who turned their potential to significance.

OUR LEGACY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
1The World We Live In
According to every trend report, the next generations will live under more challenging circumstances than we do. Our world has always been disproportionate, unbalanced, and unjust, but the inequalities and challenges have reached such a magnitude that it's impossible not to experience the consequences firsthand. In the shadow of this, we examine what we can still do.
2The Leader
Leadership is not the end goal but a means of exerting influence. Everyone with power, that is, the ability to influence others' lives, is a leader. Responsibility doesn't belong only to the top leader but to anyone who, through their decisions, achieves an impact within a context. We consider this potential – and the direction and proportion of its utilization – to be so important that we emphasize a leader's role and identity.
3Resources and missions
Is it essential to give back, and if so, why? Should it be focused or broad? What can we do specifically "beyond work"? What motivational factors are at play, and how can we optimize our opportunities? To address these questions comprehensively, we go through the factors, practical structure, personal experiences, fundamental issues, and the pulling power of ad hoc matters.
4Time perspective
Taking responsibility for others can also improve our quality of life. Yet today, few leaders have plans that extend at least 10-15 years into the future, complete with action maps, even though it can make a significant difference in the increasingly burdensome everyday life. It matters greatly if we gather the courage to articulate what, in our opinion, can make the world a better place and what we can personally do for it.
Who is it for?
For open-minded and sensitive middle and senior-level executives who want to deepen their knowledge about their role as societal actors in the business world. Those who not only want to display their values on the wall but also want to imbue their corporate values with substance. "Legacy leadership" can be interpreted as a commitment to social responsibility but also to one's own (even middle-level) leadership work and activities within the company.
What is it based on?
Bridge Budapest Association's ten years of work, experience, and the one-and-a-half-year Legacy Research conducted among Hungarian leaders. This is a summary of the Legacy Research, published originally on Forbes Hungary's website.
What's the goal?
Change can come through individual accountability. The goal is for participants to recognize and understand that from the moment they become leaders, they can do more than they must. This is not resignation. It can be done out of joy, a good feeling, and work to create more deserving, livable, and lovable environments – all while realizing that the Legacy Leader can achieve profit and (quality) growth, too.

WHY LEGACY MATTERS?
We need leaders who choose to widen their time horizons and have a long-term vision. Nowadays, when our attention span is shortening dramatically due to the acceleration of technology, the short-horizon perspective of market-driven economics, and the next-election view of democracies, we badly need leaders who balance this out, who think about the future. Our kids' future.
Our lives have improved in the past century; we live longer, healthier, and earn more, not to mention technology's advancement, providing us with opportunities we didn't even dream about. Why does it feel like we are "lost in translation"? To create meaning in our lives, we must zoom out to see how we can positively impact others' lives.
We think about value creation primarily as business value creation. Okay, sometimes with some social impact on the side. A more balanced view would be beneficial on many levels - individual, team, company, community, and society.
Leaders have a great deal of potential at hand to define and support change. Legacy is the value-driven and long-term vision of this change.
